I've taken the liberty of copying the recent exchange of emails 
concerning the Scientific American article on to our nascent open forum 
whose topic is water quality. You can find it at 
http://sensociety.org/forum, by clicking on the title LookOut!SugarLake, 
and then on the topic "Proof of link ..."

I'm trying to encourage use of a forum for this kind of important 
dialogue. It means going to it periodically on the web, rather than 
receiving posts in your email, but if its use grows, it will reach a 
much larger audience. You can set your preferences to be notified when 
there is a reply to a posting you've made. And the messages are 
automatically categorized by topic.

Register (see top right of the first screen) to be able to post.

However, if there's a forum elsewhere already active on this general 
issue, or if an open forum is not a good vehicle for exchange, I have no 
burning need to manage this one. We got things started on the SENS web 
site because of the interest in the 100% outfall planned for Kokanee 
Lodge at Sugar Lake
