Hello all,

I spoke to the Ministry of Environment today and was disappointed to  
see how little they feel they can do. I reminded them that Interior  
Health and NORD have taken strong positions, that the Min of  
Transport has now done the same, that SLAMSS (that's us) has  
challenged the Environmental Impact Assessment, and that one word  
from them would make it much easier for everyone else.

As neither the Min of Environment nor our MLA have taken a position  
yet, please call or email them to remind them that we are counting on  
them to support our NORD representatives and SLAMSS by taking a stand  
and ensuring that Sugar lake and the Shuswap River remain clean.

Please call or email tomorrow Friday if you can, as the MLA will meet

Mike Reiner, the one responsible for this file. I spoke to him today  
and told him we needed the Min of Env to support NORD's efforts and  
those of Transport. They won't move till they hear it from everybody!
