[LookOutSugarLake] Your Action needed NOW

Hi all,

Here is the way I read this. The developer needs that land to satisfy  
the Road Requirements of the Ministry of Transport not to do a land  
effluent discharge. The reason I think that is because Transport has  
said in their document refusing to approve the permit:

1. There is no public road frontage to the proposed development (and  
they note that the strip of land through the subject property appears  
to be Crown land)

2. The road leading to the property from the bridge is not suitable  
for increase in traffic and is not constructed to Ministry standards.

So when I look at the map (see below) of what he is asking to be  
granted (this means OUR crown land would be given ?) it looks to me  
like it might satisfy (partly or fully) the above MOT requirements.

Also, I think if he intended to use land discharge MOE would not have  
talked to me so long about the water discharge last Friday but would  
have let me know something was afoot.
