[LookOutSugarLake] Sell or keep Hydro land?

Hi all

Melanie Staker spoke with a Mayumi Kariya, a BC Hydro realty contact  
in vancouver regading hydro property at sugar lake that might come up  
for sale.
Melanie says Mayumi said that they are as yet unsure what to do with  
the properties around sugar lake......develop or leave as green space?

Melanie told her that many want to keep these bc hydro owned lands  
"green" as it is a pristine watershed.  Mayumi said it is NOT a done  
deal yet and gave Melanie the impression that we could well impact  
this. She will put our letters in  the sugar lake file.

Stewards)
wishes to keep the BC Hydro land around Sugar Lake free of development  
in order
to ensure protection of this sensitive ecosystem.

The waters in the upper and middle Shuswap River are among the most  
pristine
in the world and we wish to do all we can to ensure we preserve them  
for future
generations.
