[LookOutSugarLake] Sugar Lake logging in Riparian zone

Hi Eugene,

I am writing to inquire why the Regional District, although it is too  
late to prevent it, cannot react to the recent logging within the 30- 
metre riparian zone bordering the Shuswap River at Sugar Lake,  
presumably to prepare the site of a dispersal field for the sewage  
effluent of Kokanee Lodge.

Many residents are calling me saying they feel it is unfair since they  
think it wouldn't take long for either NORD or another body to show up  
if they were to log within 10 metres of the riparian zone which is  
what is being done.

Any idea what's holding that up and when we can expect action on this?
