Okanagan's Rail Trail: blending business, jobs and tourism.

Dr. Brad Clements presents an evening of discussion about removing the track from railway beds and using the beds as recreational trails. An armchair visual "tour" will be included. Questions and viewpoints are welcome.

Thursday evening the 27th of March, the S.E.N.S. held their Annual General Meeting and Seed & Plant Swap/Sale.

At 7:15 a 10-minute business meeting was held to meet the legal requirements of a Society for an AGM.

February Monthly Meeting - Okanagan Ecovillage: Organic Farming +

Nevin & Shawna Gavigan85 people of all ages joined organic farmers Nevin and Shauna Gavigan as they shared their experiences with the Yarrow Ecovillage and provided insight into the development of the Okanagan Ecovillage outside of Lumby.

January Monthly Meeting — Innovative Building for the Future +

Local builder, Carl St Jean joined Dean of Trades and Apprenticeships at Okanagan College, John Haller to talk about  “beyond LEED platinum” construction, plus barriers and benefits to incorporating such construction in new buildings and reno's. Carl compared his local home building work to John's comments on upgrades and additions to the Kelowna Campus Trades Building.
