E-Cars benefit our Climate!
WHEN:
Saturday, May 29, 9:30 am
WHERE:
Meet at the city owned parking lot at the corner of 29th street and 31st Ave. (across from the old train station). Free parking there on Saturdays.
From Terry Dyck of SENS, organizer:
The EV Caravan is shaping up to be an excellent event for electric vehicle drivers and bike riders to drive along Vernon's main street and demonstrate environmentally friendly transportation in a mass group. There will be a message on the cars that simply says E-Cars benefit our Climate. The signs are mostly to identify participants in the Caravan. They are green and will clip on the back side windows when the window is rolled up.
There will be many very interesting electric cars and very enthusiastic EV drivers as well, a few E-bikes and possibly even an Electric Bus. There will be 3 city owned EV's.
Now that we know that 2 blocks of the main street will not be closed, and the new section of 30th street and 29th street past the old Civic Arena are open, we can plan the route. I will have a map for every car when we meet.
