Planting Trees For A Better World:
This month, to celebrate both Earth Day (April 22) and Earth Week (April 18 – 25) SENS will be providing numerous species of free trees for you to plant - and look after! Come out to say Hi and secure a tree at Vernon’s Nature’s Fare (3400 30th Ave) between 10 am and 3 pm (or as long as we still have trees). Thank-you to John Barling and Terry Dyck for setting this up and thank-you to our local Forestry Research Station for donating the trees!. This manual lists ways to make your plantings successful: www.treeproject.org.au/manual/grower-manual.htm ***See attached article published last month by John and Terry.
SENS‘s New Website:
Our Webmaster of many decades, Russ Collins, is retiring! A BIG thank-you from all of us for your work and caring. We are in the process of switching over to a new web provider and a new ‘look’. The membership renewal section is under development. …but the mailing address is still operational for membership cheques/cash! Suggestions appreciated - please pass on to me at jblissau@telus.net
