S.E.N.S. Stuff (January)

  1. Feedback, please! SENS directors have yet to select any event topics for 2022, and may only plan when topics of interest or concern arise throughout the year. Your comments welcome on what you’d like to see/hear and be involved with in 2022!

  2. Congratulations to Terry Dyck: He will represent the public and SENS again on Vernon’s Transportation Advisory Committee. Transportation is the largest contributor to GHG emissions in Vernon. They need to be greatly reduced to combat the climate crisis!

  3. Vernon Carnival Parade, February 5: SENS director Terry Dyck is organizing an entry in the parade to highlight benefits of electric vehicles as alternatives to fossil fuel burning transport. Please email him at terrydyck80@hotmail.com or phone him (250 545 0191) if you can help with carrying banners or driving/cycling in the parade!

  4. Going Solar: Here’s the link for John Barling’s article!

  5. Smart Growth: SENS worked with several local and B.C. groups in 2005 - 2006 to successfully introduce and initiate smart growth to the Vernon area.  Check out this article!
