  2. Vernon Library’s Handmade Holiday Event (Saturday, December 10th, 1 - 4 pm): Join us for an afternoon of demonstrations of sustainable and handmade holiday gifts. Provincial

  1. An Invasive Plant is Killing Our Bats: Burdock, an invasive plant that contains sticky burrs, can trap and harm small B.C. animals. Everyone can help by removing invasive species and preventing their spread! For the full article, go here.

  2. Preserve Forests for Water First, Log Second: In 2019, a judge told a rural community near Nelson that they have no inherent right to clean drinking water. This small community didn’t let that stop them! For the full story, go here.

  3. Rail Trail Survey (short!): Do you use the Okanagan Rail Trail and love the diverse wildlife you see? Take this UBCO survey to share your observations and opinions about wildlife along the Rail Trail! Due by Dec. 6th. Results will be returned to the Okanagan Collaborative Conservation Program (OCCP) and partners.
