Spring Farmers’ Markets:

Vernon: Mondays and Thursdays, 9  – 1 pm, Kal Tire Centre, outside, starting April 18th. Prizes and activities are planned to celebrate the 45th anniversary!

  1. BC Greens MLAs table This Bill to protect bear dens from logging... for a 3rd time! Bears rely on dens in wooded areas, especially old-growth forests, to hibernate and raise their young. Without protection, B.C. bears face a catastrophic future due to den destruction!

  2. Protections needed for bear hibernation dens: Logging practices are limiting the natural locations for bear dens causing bears to find less conventional places to raise their cubs, as one Cowichan family learned. For the story, go here!
