Celebrate Earth Day (April 22nd)! Need ideas on how you can participate in Earth Day? Follow the link! There are great ideas for individuals or groups like classes, workplaces, and organizations.
Join the Fossil Fools Day Rally (Saturday, April 6th)! A protest will be held at the RBC main branch in downtown Vernon. RBC profits from human rights abuses and genocide! They are complicit in the violation of indigenous rights, tar sands extraction causing health impacts, and weapons technology used in the genocide in Palestine... This event will happen in conjunction with protests around the province. For details, go here!
Scotch Thistle Rosette Pull. BX- Swan Lake Community Association is planning a Scotch Thistle pull in mid-May during the week for schools and on a Saturday for the public. Check their fb page for details. As well there will be an invasive weed pull at the BX Ranchlands in April with date to be coordinated with other local groups. Stay tuned!
